Steak Baked Ziti

This combines two great foods. What’s not to love?! To make things easy, I usually make this recipe a couple days after steak night so I am just using leftovers and don’t have to cook a whole steak. This makes a 9×12 pan.

1 lb penne or ziti (very difficult to find GF ziti)
1 can Ragu
1 1lb container ricotta
Mozzarella cheese
Leftover steak (or sausage, veal, etc) chopped into bite sized pieces

Preheat the oven to 350. Boil and drain the pasta.

Pour some sauce along the bottom of the baking pan.

Pour the pasta into the pan, followed by the ricotta, steak, and sauce.

Mix well! I like to sprinkle some mozzarella cheese in while stirring. 20130602-205454.jpg

Top with mozzarella cheese and bake for 30 minutes.20130602-205641.jpg

If the cheese isn’t bubbling yet, turn on the broiler for a couple minutes to help things solidify.

Let it cool for about 10 minutes and enjoy!
