We love Chinese food and used to eat it all the time. Now, the only option we really have is P.F. Changs. Don’t get me wrong, their food is delicious and we have never had any gluten issues there. They always go above and beyond. However, the meals add up. That means if I want more Chinese food to eat, I need to start expanding my repertoire in the kitchen. Tonight I experimented with two new recipes (go big or go home). Both were from “You Won’t Believe It’s Gluten-Free!”
First up: Beef and Broccoil
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into small, thin pieces
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic salt
1 lb broccoli crowns, chopped
1/2 medium onion, chopped
- Over high heat, heat the oil in a skillet. Once oil is hot, add the steak slices. Immediately add soy sauce, black pepper, and garlic salt.
- Add broccoli and onion to the skillet. Cook for a few minutes until all are heated.
(Side note: next time I will omit the garlic salt. WAY to much salt flavor and not necessary.)
